Boone-Turner Scholarship Corporation Application

The Boone-Turner Scholarship Corporation (BSTC) was established in 1995. It is a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation promoted by the Epsilon Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. BTSC is named in honor of William H. Boone, Jr. and W. Lowell Turner, two Alpha Men, who dedicated over sixty combined years educating the youth of the Hampton Roads area. established in 1922, concentrates on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate education as a road to advancement. Statistics prove the value of this extra impetus in making the difference in the success of young African-American men, given that school completion is the single best predictor of future economic success. Through the Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College educational initiative, young men receive information and learn strategies that facilitate success. Through our fraternity, we are dedicated to aiding our service region, which consists of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Southampton and Isle of Wright. Within and outside of these communities we are committed to Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind, which are the aims of our fraternity.
